Ticks and resistance

Dogs in the woods and animals out at pasture pick up the most ticks. Mild winters have effectively abolished the tick season: checking is a year-round job.

Check and remove

Check daily after walks or turnout. Look at the thin skin: ears, armpits, groin, around the eyes and under the tail.

Remove a tick with a tick hook, straight out, without twisting or squeezing. Note the date and watch the spot for two weeks.

Support afterwards
